The second anime is Pretty Cure (PreCure) which does have the target demographic of young girls (Shoujo anime), but that doesn't mean it can't be enjoyed by a wider audience, it just means the emotional focus will be on things like friendships and crushes and teamwork, and there will be an emphasis on fashion and accessories and pastel colours. The emphasis is more to make the audience think "I want to be like her" rather than "I am attracted to her", but admittedly these can overlap a lot of the time. I personally love Ojamajo Doremi, which is a shoujo anime, because the characters are so heartwarming and the animation is fun to see.
