Your fortune: Very Bad Luck

I've been watching Nichijou recently
>>12942607
Sad...

>>12942613
>Yowayowa Sensei
Is it an actual teacher student relationship or just a tease?
rewatched paranoia agent recently >>12942585
I tried watching Dokyuu Hentai HxEros, but I got bored, so I started watching the second season of Fallout instead
Maybe I'll give Akiba Maid Sensō a try, just to avoid watching Jashin-chan Dropkick, like I always do
and so on
>>12942585
Inuyasha and One Piece and Tatami Galaxy and Akira and Perfect Blue and Soul Eater and Dragon Ball Z and Kurozuka and more I think.

Your fortune: Reply hazy, try again
>>12942649
Watch it recently, was ok. Not a fan.

>>12942653
Why would you even try watch Dokyuu Hentai HxEros, it seems like absolute garbage.
I didn't like Akiba Maid Sensou, it was very boring to me. Plus one of the VA sounds like an old woman.
>>12942656
Those are kinda "old", as in did you rewatch them or have you just not watched any other anime since watching them?
>>12942671
it's absolute garbage
i like garbage too
>>12942633
>Is it an actual teacher student relationship or just a tease?
The teacher needs a lot of help. It's very sweet and Puniru's VA is on it
>>12942653
Akiba Maid Senso was very fun. Imagine Battles without Honor and Humanity but with maid cafes when they were still relevant
>>12942683
There's just not very many new things to watch.

Dandadan and One Punch Man are the only things I like out of this new generation. Mob Psycho is finished and Vinland Saga is dead too.

I could do a Ranking of Kings rewatch, but season 3 isn't even announced yet. And all I want to do is watch Ocean Waves all day.

Your fortune: Godly Luck
>>12942738
How about Fire Force, it's the same mangaka as Soul Eater and the anime covers the entire manga.
>>12942742
I dunno it doesn't look like I would enjoy it.

Does it have funky music?

No, but I don't usually pay that much attention to the soundtrack.

I could do that one. It sounds like fun to me.

Of what? Anime? Those are two different shows so what makes you pair those together specifically?
>>12943317
little girl anime.
>>12943328
Do you mean anime you suspect is for little girls, or anime that features little girls as main characters?
>>12943331
Kinda both.
Pepe and Gunther's adventures in Frogland.
And for those who will say "that's not real", well it actually is. There's only 5 copies in existence (I own one of them) and it's never been documented online, I actually know the other 4 owners and we've universally agreed to gatekeep it from all of humanity because it's just so good. That's why it's so rare

Anime of all genres often uses young girls as the main characters because Japanese media often romanticises fleeting youth, school life, and the emotional sincerity that comes before adulthood. Anime girls are also extremely appealing, so much so that many people who consume anime dissociate from reality. Most of 4chan are victims of this.

So you can't expect the anime was intended for little girls just because it features little girls! That first image you replied to is actually an anime about climbing mountains. It's what you'd call a CGDCT (cute girls doing cute things) anime, in which a group of female friends centre around a common hobby.

The second anime is Pretty Cure (PreCure) which does have the target demographic of young girls (Shoujo anime), but that doesn't mean it can't be enjoyed by a wider audience, it just means the emotional focus will be on things like friendships and crushes and teamwork, and there will be an emphasis on fashion and accessories and pastel colours. The emphasis is more to make the audience think "I want to be like her" rather than "I am attracted to her", but admittedly these can overlap a lot of the time. I personally love Ojamajo Doremi, which is a shoujo anime, because the characters are so heartwarming and the animation is fun to see. I also just love loli in general for reasons that transcend sexual urges.

The state of anime is sad, games too, because I want it to be good, but it's not. I'm learning Japanese and honestly I'm finding it hard to have enough of a reason to these days. What happened to smart anime like Death Note? It could even just be the influx of idiots that makes everything watered out, making it impossible to find any good stuff that's there. This same problem is popping up everywhere I find. >>12943368
I was gonna say Death Note isn't smart, but I realized there isn't a smart anime.
>>12943368
When you were young and impressionable, any anime you were introduced to, and saw being talked about, was exciting to you. Death Note is an example of a basic anime that was made very accessible to the west before anime was mainstream, and that's why it's considered a gem here. If you fast forward to the present, that anime still exists, but there's also much more anime available because anime is now much more accessible. Subsequently, you're spoilt for choice, and now aren't impressionable enough to trust or look up to online strangers enough to believe that the anime they are talking about is good and worth watching.
>>12943376
I remember pretty well what it was like back then. There were a lot of anime and films that sucked but I still watched them in the beginning because people talked about them. Death Note is not one of those. It's the one I've watched the most times. It has held up. So you're wrong.
>>12943380
I never said Death Note isn't good or hasn't held up, I think it's fine
>>12943382
You presume to know my reasons are bad.
I could ask you what anime is great, then you'll list a bunch of bad ones.
Or you could prove me wrong, maybe I somehow just never learned about the great ones. It's going to be the first one though.
>>12943388
I wasn't accusing you of being bad
You said that the state of anime is sad, but the same anime that existed back when you loved anime still exists today, so it must be you that has changed. Perhaps you're spoilt for choice, or fatigued by the information overload that comes with anime becoming more mainstream and abundant.
Although by the sounds of it, you never liked anime much if the only thing you have ever liked is Death Note, one of the most western accessible entry level anime ever made. Do you like the movie Heat? That hits the theme of two intelligent men playing against each other.
>>12943399
>the same anime that existed back when you loved anime still exists today
What do you mean by this? The literal same anime is still obviously there to rewatch. But if you're saying there's new anime like the good ones I watched back then, that's not true.
I've watched a double digit number of anime and liked around ten. Heat I don't remember if I've watched or not.
I've changed in ways but my tastes have remained pretty similar I think. I could watch hundreds of episodes of One Piece back then because it was novel. That doesn't mean I draw false conclusions now.
>>12943434
In general, if someone told me they've only enjoyed 10% of the anime they watched, I'd conclude they don't like anime much. And the way you're saying things suggests this isn't a new trend for you, it's always been this way. So how can you say the state of anime has changed for you?
The last Anime I really sat down and watched was Let's Play with my best fren. He's pretty convinced the web comic is a Markiplier fanfic with the serial numbers shaved off.
The last one I really wanted to rewatch on my own is In Another World with My Smartphone. It's not good, but the waifus are heckin' cute and sexy and I love imaginging myself fyucking them all~
>>12943441
I quit the smartphone one so early since I don't like that type of cliche of overpowered and predictable.

I started writing the answers to this but deleted it because I realized all this discussion is about is you presumptuously thinking you know others better than they know themselves, which is fucking retarded. You irritated me and don't deserve answers.
>>12943518
I'm sorry you feel that way, I was only trying to understand you better, and maybe in the process you would understand yourself better too, and be able to take steps towards finding things you like.
But let's not play innocent, I saw that you begin this dialogue with an arrogant mindset, the idea that what you like is "smart" and that there's an "influx of idiots" who like things you don't like. You even kept daring me to make suggestions, ready to dismiss and mock them. Of course the idea that someone sees through all that would irritate you.
I'm rewatching Yuru Camp for its 10th anniversary. We're old and decrepit now, huh?

Your fortune: You will meet a dark handsome stranger
I haven't watched anything in years. I will probably watch Witch Hat Atelier once it's finished airing >>12943524
>I saw that you begin this dialogue with an arrogant mindset, the idea that what you like is "smart" and that there's an "influx of idiots" who like things you don't like.
That phenomenon is a fact that's agreed upon pretty universally. What you mistook for arrogance was actually discontentment.

>You even kept daring me to make suggestions, ready to dismiss and mock them.
No, that's your insecurity speaking. With the Dunning-Kruger you're painting what's turning into a coherent picture of your personality.

>Of course the idea that someone sees through all that would irritate you.
I explicitly specified what irritated me so I can only assume this lie about what happened is childish unjust retributional rage bait or engagement bait.
ahh i see some company
